Katie Rose

Well before I post this you must know the back story. Here it is:
Here it is: had to write a essay on anything for school. Here's what i did? This is a 100% true story. the survival story of Katie RoseOn March 12 2008, Katie Rose was born. She was born prematurely, weighing on 1 pound and only 11 inches long. Her family didn't think she'd make it thru the night. Her parents cried and cried thinking they'd lose there only daughter. That night Katie Rose's Parents and 3 brothers spent the night at the Neonadle Intensive Care Unit. (NICU) Incredibly Katie Rose Survived. A miricale of a baby. Being 6 months premature, she wasn't fully delveloped. The only way for her to eat was thru a stomach pump and IV fluids. Everyday and everynight Katie Rose was on Oxygen and a heart monitor. Katie Rose was a true fighter. 7 months later......Katie Rose is still in the NICU. But one day something lifechanging happened. Not only was she 4 1/2 pounds but she discovered her thumb. The best discovery of her young life. Her family went out on a limb. Seeing if posibly there was some hope for poor Katie. They tried Breastfeeding her and it worked! She didn't need a stomach pump on all the time. Katie Rose went from a Baby with no hope to a miracle. She went on Breastfeeding for 2 meals a day. That led to more discovery. That led to taking off her Heart Monitors. The best discovery she could have ever did was her thumb. Katie was soon discharged from the NICU to the West Wing. She was kept there for a month then finally she went home. Home at last Katie Rose was a survivor. A miracle. Katie update: She's happy and healthy now. At home with her 3 brothers Julian, Micheal and Derek. A true Miracle of a baby. ~The End

Now you know that I ran into her family today at my school. Now she's soo happy now. If you want to see her dad's photo blog and Katie herself heres the url: http://www.digitalfieldguide.com/blog/entries/katie-rose
